Lower your Snohomish County property taxes
The Snohomish County Assessor revalues every property each year at market value as of January 1, and total residential value fell 1.62% for 2026. A countywide dip doesn't mean every home's value dropped with the market. 30% of first-year savings, only if you save.
What a too-high value costs you
If your home is assessed at $750,000 but similar homes point to about $695,000, you're taxed on $55,000 too much. At a 0.82% rate that's about $451 a year. Our fee would be $135; you'd keep $316.
What gets missed in Snohomish County
- Values that didn't follow the market. Total residential value fell for 2026, but not every home moved with it.
- Notices outside the main mailing. Notices mailed later in the year, such as the October 9, 2026 batch, have their own 60-day deadline.
- Condition. Cost-to-cure bids and easement documents are accepted as market evidence.
- Board of Tax Appeals deadline. If the county board doesn't fix your value, you have 30 days from the decision's mailing date to go to the State Board of Tax Appeals.
Insider tip: Snohomish's board accepts petitions by email at BOE@snoco.org until 4:00 pm on the deadline. Confirm your hearing through the county webform; unconfirmed hearings are held without oral argument.
